Bio
Coach Pete Lenotti, a native of New York, grew up playing lacrosse for the nationally renowned Yorktown High School lacrosse program. During his time with Yorktown, Coach Lenotti played for two New York state finalist teams and was recognized as a US Lacrosse All-America selection in 1981. Today, Coach Lenotti still remains 13th on the all-time points leader list for the Yorktown High School Program.
After his high school career, Lenotti went on to play lacrosse under legendary Hall of Fame coach Dick Edell at the United States Military Academy. Transferring after his freshman year, Coach Lenotti continued his playing career under Hall of Fame Coach Willie Scroggs at the University of North Carolina, where he played on two NCAA semi-finalist teams. Coach Lenotti's collegiate career was highlighted by the Tar Heels winning the ACC championship in 1985 and subsequently winning the NCAA Division 1 National Championship in 1986.
Currently Lenotti is a Health and Physical Education teacher and the head lacrosse coach at Dominion High School in Sterling, VA. Since taking over the program in 2007, Coach Lenotti has guided the Titans to new heights being in the district finals the last three consecutive seasons. He was voted Coach of the Year in 2010 for his efforts and brought Dominion their first ever Dulles District Championship in 2010. Lenotti resides in Chantilly, VA with his wife and two daughters.
